Ways to Write - How to Be a Ghost Writer

GhostWriter_480.jpg
What is the point of writing or ghost writing, or even being a ghost writer or author of a novel, book, memoir or screenplay, if nobody else reads it or them? One reader does an experience make whether it is a ghost writer book, ghost writing screenplay or author memoirs. The point has always been the reader, your readers. You think when you ghost write a book between the many of you, what am I going to be an author or screenwriter about, how am I going to have a ghost writer talk, and how am I making ample money for my business, for my family, for myself - how about simply caring about your readers for a change?
What do they want, what sells you to them, how would you go about being a ghost writer or book author client for your readers? Whether you are a ghost writer or book author, it tends to be the case that your readers get awfully lost in the shuffle. The mental picture is somebody so important; they have their pick of all media on the face of the planet - why would they want to view yours? You do have to pick out your audience instead, aiming for something a bit shorter than best sellers, a bit longer than eBooks that make ten cents for you if you don't aim it, hugging and arming instead a smaller group. Who would be interested in reading your idea book the most and whom are you as a ghost writer or book author writing it for?
It's not a matter of what you want to say, it's not a matter of satisfying your own selfish desires. It's not a matter of how well your book is going to sell; it's a matter of the nature of your audience. What are their needs? If you haven't got an idea yet, what do you think is a Big Idea out there, what would appeal to a vast audience? If you do have an idea and you need to fulfill it, who needs that idea, who needs to be a ghost writer for it, who needs it? It's not a matter of who you already happen to be - it's largely a matter of where you can take a realistic appraisal. This is what I want ghost writers to consider.
Not the thing everybody else is doing, not the best rewrite, not the kitchen sink of each book or screenplay author's prose that can be found somewhere else. Something else that is news to your readers, your audience. Not the past, not the present, not the future. Not sexual matters, not war, not how to make peace in our time by selling million dollar babies. Understand this example - books on self-help have sold like hotcakes because they have a ready-made audience, namely people who need help. Who needs help, who beseeches a way to find that help, who hires a ghost writer who needs to help an author achieve an audience - who actually needs you?
You should be able, as either a ghost writer or book author, to think about somebody else for a change. Go find your people, and write, draw, plan, dream and implement fantasia for a pared down, niche, select series of groups of them. When you are a ghost writer, find somebody and write only for them - see it now. Give it your all, or give it something, but don't just write for yourself - unless you really must pass it around to your family, friends and colleagues. Which can be the fairest audiences of some smaller types, of a different drummer, as long as you do realize that you are writing? Who are you a ghost writing team of - you, or all of those others?
GHOST WRITER, INC. - ghostwriter, copy editor, proofreader, rewriter and book author - and our team of 100+ writing field related workers, many of which are New York Times best selling authors. We have contacts with literary agents, commercial publishers and literary/film field professionals.

How to Turn Your Blog Into an eBook

eBook_485.jpg
Every time you write a post on your blog, you write great content. You spend time on that content, and it has real value. Why not publish it in a book?
Seth Godin, the master blogger, has published incredible numbers of books using content he previously published in blog posts. Each bit of his blog posts can and does show up in a book at one point or other. Shopping the book store, I flipped through a copy of one book, and realized... I've read all of this before. I bought the book. It was contained between the covers; all that wisdom in one spot.
Then the concept slapped me upside the head and I realized I could have been doing the same thing all these years. Instead of struggling to write a book on the side, I could be publishing my blog content into books. Yay me!
What about you?
Do you have content worthy of recreating into a published book?
Tricia Lott Williford published her blogs into a book - albeit, edited, rewritten, and formatted into a continuum that offered insight into situations like hers - but a book. The concept sprung from writing every day.
In reality, many bloggers have pulled valuable content from their blogs, edited, rewritten, or resculpted their posts and turned them into books. Some writers, such as Krystine Kercher, format blog posts into that specific line of thought and write chapters of their book as blog posts you can read. Then publish the book with all of the chapters, so you have it in one brilliant well-bound presentation. And what a cover!
Even if your blog has an incredible cover, the design of your book cover can improve marketability of your book. Purposeful design is always an option over the random header and blog branding that takes place on your website. Why not improve the brand with a great book cover?
Plot your blog for publication -
There's a secret to writing blog posts for publication, and I'm going to give it to you right here:
  • Have a plan for each blog post.
  • Create an outline and add your blog post to a specific part of the eBook document.
  • Fill up your outline with articles you write on your blog.
  • Submit your document (the one where you post all of your blog posts) to a publishing company online - I use KDP Amazon, to publish my eBooks.
When you sit down to write a blog post, if I've learned anything through the years, from Jeff Herring, the content guy, it's the need to have a plan. Not only should your blog post offer incredible value to the reader, but it should be set up in an organized way so the reader recognizes the value of what they're reading right away. Don't lead readers astray - give them what they need.
Write with intent!
Content marketing is alive and well. You just read some amazing great content, and got enough from it that you're still reading.

5 Ways To End Your Blog Posts Like A Boss

end_475.jpg
I believe the very last paragraph of your blog post is an extremely important one and the main reason why is those last few lines is what will get your readers talking... if you write them the right way, that is.
It's not very hard to make sure you end what you have to say in ways that start a conversation and leave your visitors really wanting to come back. Here are few tips and strategies I've used that have proven extremely effective post finishers (if that's even a word!)
1. There's More...
This is a classic. What you do in this technique is you end your post exactly when your readers are dying to read more.
Why?
Because if they want more now, they'll come back when you continue on wherever you left off later, in your next post.
2. End With a Question
This one might require some thinking and understanding of human psychology, but it works like a champ.
When you are done writing, what you have to do is figure out what the hook is, in other words, what the most shocking, controversial, interesting or enigmatic bit of your post is and ask a question around it.
For example, if you've just finished talking about a very effective traffic technique that not many people know about, what you can do is ask the people reading it what their biggest traffic disaster or success was.
Encourage people to post descriptive comments by making sure you avoid yes or no type questions and you'll see awesome interaction on your site.
3. Offer a Bribe for Commenting
If you've been around for any length of time, then you know that what makes me upset is when people beg their readers for comments.
Remember that a comment should be left naturally and voluntarily, so you don't have to write a big long thing about why people need to write something under your post. Just one or two sentences explaining what they'll get for it is great.
4. Encourage Your Readers
Of course, you don't have to restrict yourself to asking people to comment at the end of your posts. Another thing you can do is encourage people to go do something. Anything will do.
It doesn't even have to be anything they do for your benefit. Just tell them to go out and do something that you know will make them feel good or improve their lives.
5. Praise a Reader Publicly
This is the very last thing I'd like to tell you about now.
See, if you have a good following of people and you're cool to them, they'll be in contact with you and they'll tell you about stuff that happens in their lives.
Once in awhile you'll get an email that'll be about someone who did something great or achieved awesome success.
When you get a message like that, go ahead and ask for permission to mention it at the end of your next post. It'll make you look cool to your viewers and will make the author of the email feel incredible.
These are just a few quick ways you can end a post in an awesome way. There are many more, but I didn't want to get the list too long. Why don't you tell me about the coolest way you ended a post?

Turning a Blog Into a Business

BlogIntoBusiness_475.jpg
Bloggers love blogging. They all want to combine their passion for writing amazing and engaging content in order to earn money for their efforts. Over the previous ten years, they've found a huge number of ways to do this. One thing worth mentioning is that in order to turn a blog into a business, the chosen set of methods should fit in nicely with the intentions and the content on it. There are numerous examples on bloggers who have completely failed at getting their target audience right, and you simply want to avoid that.
One of the most common methods for obtaining your first few dollars is a subscription or paid membership model. It rarely works, mostly because people who browse the Internet don't care about pay for extra content when they can find it for free. The Internet is huge!
If your content is not unique and valuable for your visitors and readers, you might want to consider switching methods to skyrocket your monthly revenue.
Some of the best established methods that work for experienced bloggers include:
* Selling books, shirts, mugs, cups, pretty much any type of merchandise that contain the blog's brand or logo
* Selling products or services from other sources directly via your blog
* Providing ways for readers to give out donations - think Patreon
* Promoting and participating in affiliate programs for PPC opportunities
* Selling ads to showcase other companies on your blog
We'll mention a few of these outstanding methods and explain them further down below:
Affiliate Programs
Affiliate programs work splendidly, because for people looking to buy your banner placeholders, you do the exact same job as Google AdWords. You basically get paid to upload an advertisement for a service or company onto your blog. The difference with affiliate programs is that you don't just get paid for clicks on an advertisement or two, but purchases your visitors made via your ads.
They are very attractive to bloggers because there are thousands of websites (like Amazon and BN.com) that offer a huge range of items for sale - some of which you can sell via your blog. These websites will then pay you for each sale they made via your blog.
Merchandising
In case your blog has good content, images, logos, pretty much anything printable onto a mug or T-shirt for people to enjoy, you should consider investing money in merchandise you branded with the help of your blog. It's always good to have these types of promotions, because they are not only good for overall engagement with your audience, but for earning yourself some extra money.
The easiest methods of setting up your mini shop is by partnering up with website who specialize in online merchandising. Each merch item you want to be sold will be displayed automatically, with your branding on it, on these customized webpages so that the visitors think as if your site is the one selling your merchandise, not an online vendor. A huge benefit with this method is that your readers can purchase items without you having to do anything. Your single duty is to set up the store. The online service you're cooperating with takes care of the rest.
The most popular on-demand branding services are:
* Branders
* CafePress
* Direct Lines
* Zazzle
Selling Space For Display Ads
This is the classic way of earning money off your blog. Selling advertising space means those who relate to your blog the most will pay you money if you place their ads on your blog. If you have a huge number of incoming traffic, you'll get a lot more inquiries.
This means that your blog needs to have relevant content to the advertiser if you want your blog to be attractive to them. Signing up on Google AdSense, for example, is the most simple way to get some money flowing. But as an established blogger, you might want to look into ad networks.
Ad networks are all similar one to another in terms of how they place ads on your blog. The factor that makes them stand out are when and how much they'll pay you.
The most famous advertising networks you might want to look up are
* Adknowledge
* Clicksor
* CrispAds
* Google AdSense

Blogging For Beginners - A Great Small Business Marketing Tool

BloggingBeginners_475.jpg
A blog is a contraction word of "web log". It is a website that contains personal postings, usually the author's thoughts and feelings about things and events. It may also contain educational articles, videos, images, comments, opinions, descriptions of things or announcements of events.
Blogging, the verb, is the act of making the contents of the web log on a regular basis.
Since the availability of portable computers and the ease of internet connections, more and more people are taking advantage of broadcasting their daily activities online. The purpose of blogging depends on the goal of the writer, also known as the blogger. Some people write to express their feelings. Others blog to inform their audience on a particular topic. Most writers blog to share what they have, be it images, videos or thoughts, to the rest of the world.
No matter what the purpose of the blog, in order to enjoy a considerable number of repeat blog readers, it's important to ensure high quality contents are posted on a regular basis. It's interesting to note, however, that "high quality" is a relative term and its meaning will vary from audience to audience.
Who can do blogging?
Everyone and anyone is entitled to a blog site. There are many different blogging platforms currently available. You can choose to use a hosted platform - your blog will be hosted on a third party domain, such as WordPress.com, and there are often no monthly maintenance fees associated with it. Or you can host your blog at your own domain - this will require you to install the blogging software on your own webserver and generally pay a monthly hosting fee.
What are benefits of blogging?
There are many benefits to maintaining a blog. If your blog is a personal one, it might be a great source of stress relief to pour out your worries and thoughts onto your web log. You might blog in order to improve your writing and thinking skills. Or you might want to develop your creativity and imagination while designing your weblog.
You may even monetize your blog by incorporating Pay Per Click (PPC) and Paid advertisements. This works best when the ads you display on your blog are targeted toward the audience that generally reads your posts.
Blogging is also an excellent small business marketing tool. The obvious business benefits to blogging include building a relationship with your customers and clients, setting yourself apart as the expert in the eyes of your prospects, and easily disseminating information to your target audience. Your blog can even be used as a lead generator in your small business marketing program.
How to start blogging?
If you're not sure how to begin blogging, you might want to register for a free account at WordPress.com and take blogging for a test drive. Once you get the hang of blogging, and you're sure you'll be able to maintain your blog on a regular basis, you might decide you want your own hosted blog for business and branding purposes. At that time, you can always transfer your posts that have been created on the free site onto your own hosted blog.
It's always a good idea to have a plan before you start blogging, especially if your blog will be used for small business marketing purposes. Create an easy-to-follow calendar for yourself, and be sure to do your keyword research ahead of time so you can drive a decent amount of traffic to your blog. One of the great features of most blogging platforms is the ability to schedule your posts to be published at a later date. I suggest having at least 5 blog posts ready to go, then schedule them for future publication.
And make sure you schedule enough time into your own calendar to maintain your blog, or find a great partner who can keep your blog up to date. An abandoned blog is definitely not a good business branding tool.
Blogging is a great way to express yourself, to brand your business, and to create relationships with your clients and prospects. It's relatively inexpensive to get started - and if you want to do it all by yourself, you can even get started for no money at all. So add blogging to your small business marketing plan, and watch your business grow!

Ways to Build An Attractive Character in Your Blogging Niche

John-Chow_475.jpg
Have you ever noticed that most of the successful bloggers have some sort of attraction element at play in their blogging efforts? Some might be good looking sure, but beyond that, most of the good ones have some sort of redeeming quality that has people thinking - "damn, I wish I was like that!"
Today, we're going to talk about how you can do the same thing, and create a level of attraction that has readers pouring in wishing they could be like you. Here's how:
1. Pull Out Some Attractive Things in Your Life
We all have something neat, cool, or attractive in our lives. For John Chow, it was pictures of cars and houses. For Shoemoney, it was an AdWords check. For Frank Kern, it's the beach bum lifestyle.
The point is that it doesn't matter what you don't have, you need to find something cool for people to associate with you. Find a symbol of awesomeness, and share it with your readers. Make it a part of your image - this is very important.
2. Set Yourself up As an Authority
Nobody likes to listen to a joker, which is why you need to become an authority in your niche. Now, I'm not recommending that you pretend to be an authority, because people will see through that.
I'm suggesting you become an authority. Learn, study, and practice until you become a master of your niche. Then, when you're ready, showcase your skills to the world.
Obviously this means when you're new, it might take some time before you become profitable, and that's OK. The average business takes 2-3 years to become successful, and if you aren't ready for that grind, then you probably shouldn't be in business anyway.
3. Don't Be Neutral When You Talk
It doesn't matter what side you're on, but you need to pick one and embrace it. Being neutral is boring, and nobody likes to read boring blogs. It's OK to be wrong from time to time, that's how people learn, but being boring is a recipe for doom.
The point is that you shouldn't say anything unless you can improve the silence. If you're not sure whether you should be writing something, then you probably shouldn't be writing it. Write with your heart, and the rest will follow.
4. Take Strong Stand and Don't Be Afraid to be Controversial
If you're not pissing someone off, then you aren't doing it right. Try to find one successful person that isn't polarizing. Steve Jobs is a great example - to his dying day he was loved and hated by many. There were very few that stood in the middle.
When you say something, say it boldly, and say it with confidence. Confidence is magnetic.
This, in a nutshell, is my four step recipe for becoming an attractive and magnetic blogger. Take a look at your favorite blogger and compare these four traits with their own. Do you see any resemblances?
